Indrajit Pan is an academician and researcher who has made significant contributions in the field of Information Technology. He has been recognized for his exemplary performance and outstanding achievements throughout his career. Indrajit's journey began with a strong educational foundation, earning his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering with Honors from The University of Burdwan in 2005. He further pursued his passion by completing his Master's degree in Information Technology from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur in 2009, where he was awarded the prestigious University Medal.

Driven by his thirst for knowledge and academic excellence, Indrajit went on to obtain his Ph.D. in Engineering from the esteemed Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur in 2015. His current research is focused on several cutting-edge areas, including community detection, cloud computing, influence theory, and digital microfluidic biochips. 

Since 2006, Indrajit has been an integral part of the RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT), where he currently serves as a Professor in the Information Technology Department. Throughout his tenure, he has excelled in various roles and responsibilities. From January 2020 to May 2023, he served as the Head of the Information Technology Department, demonstrating exceptional leadership and guiding the department towards excellence. Under his guidance, the B.Tech. (IT) program received NBA reaccreditation in 2022, a testament to his commitment and leadership skill to academic quality.

In addition to his departmental leadership, Indrajit also held significant administrative positions at RCCIIT. He served as the IQAC Coordinator, playing a pivotal role in the institute's first-cycle NAAC accreditation in 2022. Furthermore, he fulfilled key responsibilities as the Faculty In-Charge (Academics), Program Coordinator of B. Tech. (IT), SPoC of Infosys Campus Connect Program, and Nodal Officer of Institutional Reforms under TEQIP - II. 

Apart from his administrative roles, Indrajit has been actively involved in research and development. He has co-authored publications in reputable international journals, edited books, and conference proceedings. His valuable contributions also include editing research volumes and international conference proceedings. Indrajit's research work has been recognized and published as patents, demonstrating his innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities. He has also served as a Guest Editor for the International Journal of Hybrid Intelligence, Inderscience, and is currently an esteemed editorial board member of Elsevier's Applied Soft Computing Journal. Four doctoral researchers are working under his supervision.

Indrajit's commitment to professional organizations is evident through his memberships. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA, and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), USA. Additionally, he holds Life Memberships with the Institution of Engineers (India) (IE(I)) and the Computer Society of India (CSI). These memberships signify his active involvement in the academic and professional communities, where he has continuously contributed to the growth and advancement of the field.
